Requiem de Mozart – Orquesta de Extremadura

Requiem de Mozart - Orquesta de Extremadura

As part of the celebration of the XXXIX Semana Musical de Santa Cecilia and of the 90th anniversary of the creation of Conservatorio de Badajoz's, The Orquesta de Extremadura and the Choir Amadeus of Puebla de la Calzada join under the conducting of Francisco Valero-Terribas, to deliver a concert of great quality and artistry, that will be the highlight of these celebrations.

The Requiem in D minor, K. 626 by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart is a work that tradition has covered with a mysterious veil, because it was the last composition of the famous musician. But beyond the historical unknowns, it is one of the most notorious works of Mozartian production, being a clear demonstration of Mozart's mastery to perfectly combine the purity of classicism style with a great rhetorical power.

We will have the delightful chance to listen again to Alain Damas, who joins his voice to a prestigious cast of soloists to do the revival of one of the most celebrated pieces in music history. The concert will take place on friday, november 24th, 20.30 h at the Palacio de Congresos de Badajoz.
